白羽さんがいつの間にかトイレから出てきて、私の手首を掴んで叫んでいるのだった。
「お客様、どうなさったのでうか？」
反射的に答えると「ふざけるな！」と言われて、店の外へと連れて行かれた。「何、馬鹿なことをやってるんだ、お前は！」
道路まで私を引き摺って怒鳴った白羽さんに、私は言った。
「コンビニの「声」が聞こえるんです」
私の言葉に白羽さんは、悍ましいものを見るような目になった。白羽さんの顔を包んでいる青白くて薄い皮膚が、まるで握りつぶしたようにしわくちゃになった。それでも、私は引き下がらなかった。
「身体の中にコンビニの「声」が流れてきて、止まらないんです。私はこの声を聴くために生まれてきたんです」
「何を。。。」
白羽さんが怯えたような表情になり、私は畳み掛けた。
Shiraha suddenly came out of the restroom and grabbed my wrist, shouting.
"What's wrong with you?"
I reflexively replied, and he scolded me, saying, "Don't mess around!" He then led me outside the store, dragging me to the road. He yelled at me, "What the hell are you doing, you idiot?"
As Shiraha shouted at me while dragging me to the road, I said to him, "I can hear the 'voice' of the convenience store."
My words made Shiraha give me a look as if he were seeing something obscene. The thin, pale skin covering Shiraha's face wrinkled as if it had been squeezed. Nonetheless, I didn't back down.
"The 'voice' of the convenience store is flowing inside my body, and it won't stop. I was born to hear this voice."
"What...?"
Shiraha looked frightened, and I pressed on.
